Editorial policy

How we publish.

The standards we apply to every note and every figure: where our data come from, how we separate fact from view, and how we correct errors.

Purpose

AM Nusantara publishes Insights and Market Intelligence to explain how markets and economic data can be read with discipline. They are general information and education. They are not investment advice, recommendations, offers or solicitations, and they do not promote any product or service.

Sources

Every market or economic statistic is attributed to a named, dated source. We prefer primary sources: statistical agencies, central banks, regulators, index providers and international organisations. Where a figure is taken from a news report, we say so and replace it with the primary source when one is available. Each note lists its sources with links.

Facts, views and examples

We keep three kinds of content distinct. Facts are attributed to their source. Views are AM Nusantara's interpretation at the time of writing and are labelled as such. Hypothetical examples are constructed to explain an idea, are labelled “Hypothetical illustration”, and are never presented as market observations.

Live data

The Market Intelligence page shows official statistics from Bank Negara Malaysia and the Department of Statistics Malaysia, retrieved automatically from their public data services, and third-party market prices from TradingView. Figures may be delayed, revised by their publishers or temporarily unavailable. We do not publish simulated prices, forecasts or market signals.

Independence

Notes do not recommend specific securities or funds. Where a fund is named, for example to identify a price that tracks an index, it is for identification only. Where a topic relates to AM Nusantara's own circumstances, such as its incorporation in Labuan, we disclose it.

Dates and updates

Each note shows its publication date and the date up to which its data are current. Notes are not rewritten after publication to reflect later data; new data are covered in new notes. Release dates in What we're watching are updated monthly.

Corrections

If we find or are told of a factual error, we correct it promptly and add a dated correction note at the foot of the page describing the change. To report a possible error, please use the research enquiry form on our contact page.

Images

We use licensed photography or original artwork. We do not use images found online without the right to do so.
